If you give an writer a brush, the first thing they will do is try to write with it. When they figure it’s difficult to tame the synthetic hairs, then they will play with the colors. The writer might get dirty and frustrated, so you have to keep a cup of their favorite latte and lots of love stored for when they need it. Then, they will figure out drawing is harder than they imagine so their emotions will surface. They might get some critiques that it looks like action art and a couple of critiques claiming their eight year old can do better. Overall, the writer will write the story to every piece and try to give it titles that exceed max 4 word requirement, but really trying hard to get as close to it as possible. Sometimes, they will show their indecisive nature by giving it more than one title and sometimes there will be an inscription not posted on the card inspired by a Jekyll and Hyde moment. The writer will need some sleep and then it will ask for the brush again and maybe a 2 cups of latte and hug as it reattempts to pair colors and shapes to words and emotions.
1 - “The Core Is Rotten” or “Through the Peephole of Disillusion”
2 - “Lost in Emotion” - The arguments feel this way and I am the red dot.
3 - “In the Midnight Garden of My Curiosity”…where I toss and turn, water and feed, all the things that make me wonder, all the words that smile and suffer. I hope that the garden feeds many more than me, even long after me.
