Plegarias at His Feet

March 14th, 2007

The rows of candles smell of roses and sweet spice
They yell of needs and devotions
    Plegarias at his feet
but what do we really ask for and what do we need?
Faith is believing and not knowing,
that perhaps is the hardest thing to do
but the only thing you have left when there’s nothing left to do
    is surrender
my life is in your hands

I like that line, “Faith is believing and not knowing”. I’ve a newfound understanding of faith, lately. We often confuse faith with hope. Faith is the action behind the hope. Faith is the obedience to respond when you aren’t sure of the outcome. Faith is trusting in something you can’t see.

“but the only thing you have left when there’s nothing left to do
is surrender my life is in your hands.”

    Simply believe. :o)
